Zoltán Kovács holds talks with South African and Angolan Ambassadors
The Government Commissioner and South African Ambassador Pieter Vermeulen discussed opportunities for the African country to take part in the “One with Nature” World of Hunting and Nature Exhibition. Following the meeting, Mr. Kovács expressed his hope that in addition to South African professional organisations, the administration will also be able to participate.
Ambassador of Angola José Filipe assured the Government Commissioner that in addition to an Angolan national stand, high-level visitors are also expected from the country. “We will be continuing our discussions in view of the fact that our countries’ natural treasures and the practices aimed at preserving them are definitely worth presenting”, Mr. Kovács stated.
Zoltán Kovács emphasised that he believes the time when the Western world can shout its expectations and criticisms concerning game management at Africa in the manner it has been doing so far has come to an end. “At the various forums of the “One with Nature” World of Hunting and Nature Exhibition, it is precisely the positions and experiences of Angola and the continent overall that we would like to show the world”, he added.
“As a forum created for nature conservation and hunting, the “One with Nature” Expo achieved internationally significant results, and accordingly the work we have begun is worth continuing from a professional perspective, but also from a social, foreign policy and national image perspective alike”, Mr. Kovács emphasised in Riga.
