We have shared Central European heritage with Poland

It was important to give the countries visiting Hungary a chance to introduce themselves at the ‘One with Nature’ World of Hunting and Nature Exhibition. The ‘Day of Nations’ series – as part of which a Polish Day was held on Monday – serves that purpose, government commissioner Zoltán Kovács said.

He added that with Poland “we have shared Central European heritage,” and so they agreed with Polish Deputy Minister of Climate and Environment Edward Siarka that the cultural elements that are conveyed by hunting, among others, must be preserved.

Following this, the government commissioner acted as moderator of the panel discussion entitled ‘Alliances, The Way to Gain Political Strength’ where he pointed out that country life is in danger partly in consequence of technological development, and partly due to attacks of a political nature.

After the panel discussion, Mr Kovács told the Hungarian news agency MTI that in the past three days visitors from Western Europe, North America and other parts of the developed world have highlighted that life in the countryside and the values attached to it are in danger.

The government commissioner therefore took the view that the World Exhibition also serves as an opportunity to talk about these issues in order to determine how to stop this process.
