The 8th Session of the Meeting of the Parties (MOP8) to the African-Eurasian Migratory Waterbird Agreement (AEWA) will take place on 26-30 September 2022 in Budapest, Hungary.
The results of the OWN Expo have far exceeded expectations
“We agreed that although everything can be realised withinonline space these days, there is nevertheless a need for personal meetings”, the Government Commissioner for the ‘One with Nature’ Exhibition stated. “The success of the OWN Expo has shown that, with suitable timing and cooperation with the healthcare authorities, we do not have to forego the feeling of experiencing such events personally and in safety”, Mr. Kovács added.
“One of the greatest successes of the Own Expo is that Hungary not only commemorated the heritage of the 1971 World Exhibition, but has also opened a new chapter within the fields of sustainability and nature conservation thanks to the forward-looking lectures of the World Conservation Forum”, the BIE Secretary General highlighted. Dimitri Kerkentzes confirmed that the organisers can continue to count on the support of the BIE during the pursuit of this endeavour.
“As a forum created for nature conservation and hunting, the “One with Nature” Expo achieved internationally significant results, and accordingly the work we have begun is worth continuing from a professional perspective, but also from a social, foreign policy and national image perspective alike”, Mr. Kovács emphasised in Riga.
